Pitch What?

It just takes a simple start to build a great idea. And organizations are interested in what you have to say. So much so, they have helped create a way this exchange and collaboration to take place.

Enter Goodzuma, where your idea could help change the world...and might get paid you for it

ELEVATOR PITCH

Simply put, Goodzuma is a digital platform where organizations post Challenges that need your help. Blurring the line between "crowdsourcing" and "co-creation," Goodzuma starts with a simple idea (called a Pitch) and gives others the chance to build on it. Even if you do not want to create a Pitch, you can help other people with their pitches.

Yup, it's that simple.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Chad Boettcher, Founder of Goodzuma
The first Chad has over 10 years of experience working with - and for - organizations of all shapes and sizes trying to make the world a little bit better. He believes great ideas can come from unexpected people and unusual places, and that the creative use of digital media is the best way to find them. Hence, he founded Goodzuma.
Previously, Chad developed Emmy Award winning pro-social campaigns working at MTV, created corporate responsibility and sustainability strategies working at Nike, and served on the presidential campaigns of Barack Obama and Al Gore. (Yes, he counted "Chad's" during the 2000 Florida Recount). Currently, he's SVP of Social Innovation at Weber Shandwick and teaches Innovations in Marketing at NYU. He grew up near Minneapolis, Minnesota and currently lives, works, teaches and plays in Brooklyn, New York. He has a B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, OH.
Chad Reynolds, Founder of Crush Republic
The second Chad is founder of Crush Republic. Crush Republic is a new type of Brand Design agency, developing innovative ways for brands to open up their platform to allow consumers to participate. It's this vision that helped craft the Goodzuma story. Using simple ideas, people can help build up to make a product and/or service better. To learn more - http://crushrepublic.com
In addition to Crush Republic, Chad spends his time working with high school students through an internship program at Fanattik, an online apparel company he founded in 2007. Fanattik establishes student teams inside of schools, giving them open access to the company's tools to help take a product to market. Through hands on learning, students now can take what they learned in the classroom in apply it a real world environment.
Armstrong Interactive Media Studies (AIMS) @ Miami University, Collaborators.
In the fall of 2009, Professor Glenn Platt, the Director of the Armstrong Interactive Media Studies program at CB's alma mater Miami University in Oxford, OH took on Goodzuma as project for his students. About 25 undergraduate students in his class, along with students from Professor Brett Smith's Social Entrepreneurship class, spent the semester discussing, debating and providing ideas and advice about Goodzuma and the potential it had for college students to connect with companies on social responsibility. http://aims.muohio.edu/
